What is Nitrous Oxide Sedation?
Nitrous oxide is a safe and effective sedative used in dentistry to help patients feel at ease during various procedures, from routine dental cleanings to more involved treatments like tooth extractions. Is there a Cost Associated with Getting Nitrous Oxide?
In most Ontario dental clinics, including ours, nitrous oxide sedation is an additional cost on top of the regular dental procedure. Fees start at $95.00 per visit and upward, depending on how long your procedure is. Since nitrous oxide is considered a sedation option rather than a necessary treatment, many dental insurance plans do not cover it, though some may partially reimburse the cost. It’s always best to check with us and your insurance provider in advance to clearly understand your exact out-of-pocket costs ahead of time. Remember, we do offer easy payment plan options as well for this, as well as for our dental procedures.
